Civil engineer on
Nepal's rivers

As a Civil Engineering graduate from Kathmandu University with a specialization in hydropower, I currently serve as a Planning Engineer at Sinohydro Corporation Limited on the 99.8 MW Tamakoshi Hydropower Project.

My professional foundation was built through internships at the 100 MW Super Trishuli Hydropower Project and Claim Dispute, Resolution and Consultancy (CDRC).

What I'm for

2.01

Planning & Scheduling

Building and maintaining CPM schedules in Primavera P6 — WBS structure, activity logic, durations, resource and progress updates.

Primavera P6CPMWBS

2.02

Project Controls

Tracking actual progress against baseline, measuring variance, and producing progress reports that tell stakeholders where the job really is.

BaselineVarianceReporting

2.03

Site Coordination

Working between the plan and the field — aligning planned sequence with what crews, plant and access can actually deliver on the ground.

SequencingInterfaces

2.04

Hydraulic Structures

Field knowledge of barrage, intake, trashrack, spillway and draft tube works, plus grouting and foundation treatment from live project exposure.

2.05

Construction Supervision

Site supervision against approved drawings — pre-concreting checks, formwork and reinforcement, batching, placement, vibration and curing.

2.06

Quality Control

Concrete cube testing, material checks and QC documentation as part of routine site quality procedure.

Planning & project controls · Claims consultancy

  • Built the foundation in planning and project controls that my current role runs on
  • Learned and worked hands-on with Primavera P6 for scheduling and progress tracking
  • Gained practical exposure to construction claims, disputes and resolution consultancy

Super Trishuli Hydropower Project — 100 MW run-of-river

  • Assisted site supervision and execution of works against approved drawings
  • Observed grouting operations — consolidation, contact grouting and foundation treatment
  • Learned pre-concreting procedure, inspection practice and documentation
  • Observed construction of barrage, intake, trashrack, spillway and draft tube
  • Assisted with formwork systems and reinforcement placement
  • Gained exposure to concreting: batching, placement, vibration and curing
  • Learned coordination between civil and hydro-mechanical works
  • Observed quality control practice — cube testing and material checks
